Manuel Carballo

Manuel Carballo began to practice gymnastics at 6 years of age in Madrid, becoming part of the Spanish team at age 14, where he remained until his professional retirement in 2013. During his active period he lived at the Joaquín Blume Residence and He trained at the High Performance Center in Madrid.

In 2005 he was awarded for the first time the individual title of the Spanish Artistic Gymnastics Championship held in Vitoria, ahead of his teammates Isaac Botella and Rafael Martínez. That same year he was proclaimed champion of Europe of parallel bars in the Europeans played in Debrecen (Hungary).

In 2007 he was part of the Spanish team that won sixth place in the World Championships in Stuttgart (Germany), thus obtaining the place for the next year's Olympic Games.

He was part of the Spanish gymnastics team for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.1 He participated in the complete team competition, remaining in 11th position.

He continued another Olympic cycle preparing for the 2012 London Olympics, arriving at the Qualifying Pre-Olympic in January, where he could not compete due to a knee injury, which relegated him to the substitute post until the Olympic Games. of that same year.

Manuel Carballo finished his sports stage in early 2013 after more than 15 years dedicated to gymnastics. From here began a new stage as a coach and trainer of different sports practices such as CrossFit, a discipline he currently teaches
